Alpers Lodge & Conference Centre

Checked in some guests from overseas. Reception staff were happy and helpful. Room was clean, fairly modern, and spacious. Not sure about cost but guests are happy thus far.

Rooms are very run down and dirty, hole in roof and feaces on the wall on bathroom. Booked for 3 people, not enough towels, or cups, tiny rooms and parking is hard if you don't have a tiny car.

Great location to catch the trains. We have stayed twice now.Clean and comfortable bed.Nice shower for the both of us ☺️Easy to find off the motorway, plus free parking .

I do not recommend this placeThe night manager is horrendous and completely unprofessional. He harassed us throughout our stay. I was travelling solo and booked a room that accommodated 3, but was told I can have no visitors. I was given a 9pm noise restriction. The night manager verbally abused us on the balcony from across the parking lot, rather than coming to our door to inform us. After the incident with the night manager, I was told the next day that someone was coming to “check the kitchen”, I waited for 2 hours before they came.

Cute little aged lodge, but clean and cozy. The staff are lovely and I had a wonderful stay thank you.Plus 50 channels of SKY!

Brilliant location, getting to the sites I had to visit with work and after work was very easy. The lady at reception was friendly and efficient. She demonstrated how to use the after-hours code and kept information nice and simple.The room was an interesting combination of a fantastic bed with very nice, tasteful bedding, with other furnishings being a little dated. The bathroom was spotless and reasonably modern. There was plenty of bench space in the room and I appreciated the extra mirror outside of the bathroom. The air conditioning was quick to adjust the room temperature and it was nice to have a little balcony.Overall I was surprised at how quiet it was given the proximity to busier roads. I slept extremely well, which also surprised me as I don't typically sleep well even at home. I didn't eat on-site so can't comment on the quality of the food but I would stay here again.

Walking distance to Newmarket Westfield, bus & train. The room was clean, bed linen, white high grade sheets, fluffy white towels. Older lodge but excellent value for 3 nights for 2 adults. Evening restaurant: Chicken Fettuccine & Spaghetti Bolognaise very good. Staff are very helpful, we had a bit of difficult understanding their Asian/English accent but on the whole it was a great stay, we would stay there again.

I have read many reviews for Alpers and obviously I can't say they are wrong, but we had a great experience staying here. The room was priced right - we had a queen room in the neighboring building. It was quiet and had everything stated in the ad. The room was clean and the sky TV was awesome. Being someone who runs accommodation myself, I feel like some people writing these reviews are overly harsh - don't bag out a 3 star accommodation expecting it to be 5 stars when you get there. Book a 5 star place, pay the extra money and be happy. If people kindly report things that are broken at the time, it's much easier to get it fixed for YOUR stay and the next persons. We had no complaints for our room. It was being updated with a new shower, vanity/basin and toilet. The bathroom was quite large with a very large mirror also.. It's obvious the owners are working hard, the staff EXCELL at customer service, the breakfast and coffee came out fast and was all delicious. The breakfast/dinner room was very cute, warm, modern chairs, clean and comfortable. I would stay here again for sure.

Room wasn't clean and the outside grounds were not very clean..Cigarette butter strewn all over the ground as there were no rubbish bins available outside. Asked for a deep clean in my room which was poorly executed. Not a place that I would recommend and I advise people to steer well clear.

We arrived 2 hours after check-in, and one of our rooms had not been serviced. We had to wait for the cleaners to clean it. The receptionist and manager ignored our complaint and acted like they did not understand. I did not like the room, it felt grungy. I never took any photos.
