Love this place! Been here for 7 years and gladly I would say it’s one of the best barbers out here East! Would definitely recommend anyone to come try it out, you won’t be disappointed!! Shout out to my go to inside, Michael!! Trust me he won’t disappoint you too!

Been coming here for about 12 months. Usually are really good, but today I was disappointed. The barber who listens to his AirPods is one that I would not recommend. Very rushed, about 10-15 minutes, uneven sides and also didn’t want to listen to me when I requested what I was after. Would appreciate it if he put more detail in like the other barbers and was patient/listens future clients.

Had never been to Mal's (Ellerslie) before but I'd definetly go again. In my top 2 and a relief after a great amount of disappointment over the last 4 or so trips to 4 different barbers. Very short wait time.Lots of attention to detail and seemed to take his time in order to get it right. Thanks Mika (sorry if that's not how you spell your name!)!Only annoyance was the cost. I asked for a beard trim and to leave the head but first thing done was a number 0 up the side of my head (bit late to say anything then...committed). Meant I ended up spending $32 instead of the $20 I'd budgeted/planned on.

My regular barber was on holiday for a long time so I had to look for another barber shop and a few friends suggested Mal's Ellerslie. And it was a superb recommendation, the shop was equipped with everything you will need to have a good haircut. The Pool table is a big bonus too. I have to agree though that on busy days (weekends) the wait could be longer so I came in early morning and had to wait just 30 minutes and the place was packed after that. Thanks JR for the amazing cut. Highly recommended!

$45 hair cut and this is a really cheap price give the fact that I had a scissor trim + fade + beard trim and conditioning....definitely would come back here and would pay normal prices for what I got...10/10 for me and the guys are really friendly and always makes conversation which makes it enjoyable.

Happy with the cuts but the wait times recently have been too much. Over an hour just to get seen on Saturday morning with 3 empty chairs. If you can't bring in more staff then probably should use a booking system to respect the customers time.

Just moved into ellerslie, found Mals barbers and went in for a cut. Short wait time, excellent cut from J.R who took alot of pride and care with my cut, overall I'm very satisfied and will definitely recommend everyone I know to come here for a cut. 10/10
