JUCY Car Rental and Campervan Hire Christchurch Airport

Good customer service we got told that we will get a refund for the 2 extra days we had to return the van 2 days early because we had a family emergency. We spoke to someone in the christchurch branch they said we will get a refund once we got to the branch to drop the van off I'm abit disappointed about it.

Appalling service. Pickup was at 11am. Was told car would be ready by 1pm. 2 hours lost. Customer service had no idea what was going on. Car was supposed to be in the wash and then it was not. Was told 13:30 is be ready. Then was told that a tyre needed changing so another 30mins...3hrs total lost. $77 refunded and that is supposed to be fair compensation for pretty much ruining a day. I asked for a full refund so I could book elsewhere at 3x the price, but was denied.2 kids with me who also lost their patience. A smile and apology definitely did not suffice. First and last time using Jucy. So so bad...0 stars most fitting for the experience.

I do not suggest renting from these guys, unless you are experienced in driving broken vehicles.....I went to Christchurch to pick up my van, as excited as ever and on the second day both back doors stopped working which makes the bed super hard to convert. I then called them to get help on their provided emergency phone number, and it took 3 THREE days for them to call me back. They asked me to drive to Christchurch from Mount Cook to get a new Van... with no compensation for fuel or time out of my trip. This first van also came with no windshield washer fluid, no stove fuel (had to purchase for myself) both of the free" camping chairs I was given were broken.I picked up my second Van and now this one has a fridge that has stopped working twice

Awesome easy pickup and drop off. Our Condo Van served us well on our five day road trip. It was well equipped and a went very well.

We arrived in advance of our allocated time but had to wait over an hour later than our allocated time before getting our vehicle. We were given a discount on requesting some compensation but this did mean we were behind on our plans for that day. We also had no real information about how long the wait would be while we waited. It would have been preferable to have been told it would be an hour wait, we could have got some food/drink and also offered compensation instead of asking for it.

I booked a holiday with Jucy due to the flexibility they advertised, in particular the 'Free options to change travel dates’. But when due to a change of flights I needed to change the travel dates customer service told me the new booking would be 41% higher each day.The customer service team were responsive and helpful and ultimately cancelled my booking as I chose to book with a cheaper alternative company (Happy Campers) instead of pay cost to change. I don't recommend booking with Jucy if you require flexibility.

Amazing fast and friendly service. HIGHLY recommend and will ve a return customer for sure! Nothing was a hassle from booking, to the friendly driver who picked us up!A++++++

These are far from high end, but for the price they are a great way to get around especially considering the level of the holiday parks you have access to.

Huge wait time, not acceptable when people have booked a collection time and made other plans for the remainder of the day. Some others had waited 7 hours! Felt so bad for them. I understand staffing crisis, but perhaps limit your bookings to what you can actually cater for if the vehicle cannot be detailed and ready in time. We will be expecting at least a full days refund..
