The staff? Perfect. The shows? Amazing. The drinks, the atmosphere and the location? Top notch. One of my top ten places in Tāmaki Makaurau. Also I saw a ghost in the studio theatre and now I'm cursed but in a good way.

Only delivered kegs there altho manager & staff were very welcoming . Liked the oldness of the building plus the surroundings wrre oldskewl &unique l. Liked the whole vibe/overall look of the place.

The Wedding - Return Season at the Basement Theatre - Opening night was electric, explosive, action packed & full of surprises. LAUGH OUT LOUD was the order of the night - non stop. (We hope no birds were harmed in the production - but cant guarantee it) Opening night was full to the brim - and without a doubt the best show we've seen in a while. Love the inner city vibe. Always the best venue for fringe theatre. Most of all the intimacy shared with the actors in the smaller theatres makes the whole experience that much more real.

Nice comedy theater with cheap parking right outside. There is a bar and you’re allowed to bring your drink into the theater, but the bar staff weren’t very friendly, I felt I was bothering them terribly just by buying a beer, and I didn’t even ask a single question.

We love live reel! Great for a weeknight out with a group of friends. Definitely book in advance as the venue is quite small so seats are limited.

A nice small theatre. The studio is tiny, and tend to be quite hot even on winter. Paid parking are a hit and miss depending on the day. The entrance is quite tricky to find as it's not the the main road, but at the back of the building instead. The lounge has an interesting decor and friendly bartender. The ticket locket is like a pigeon hole next to the door to the studio/stage.
