Makarora Mountainview Wilderness Accommodation
Really lovely place to stay. Hosts were very responsive and friendly, room and bed were nice and good access to amenities like wifi (there is no cell service in the area).Beautiful views. We would definitely stay there again when in the area.The room we stayed in had a huge comfortable bed; a kitchenette with fridge, jug, tea and coffee, plates + cutlery; ensuite bathroom with shower, basin and toilet. Was private and separate from the main house and there was parking on site.(No separate dishwashing facilities in the room which may be a factor for some but was fine for us.)

Thank you for your hospitality. We stayed one night in a clean well equipped Tui room. You were the only place in the whole of the Haast area that allowed us to have our huskies dogs inside. Many thanks and all the best to you and your family.

Excellent. Exceeded expecation. Friendly owner. Cute cows and lambs nearby. They dont cover the beds with something that is used for everybody and is usually dusty - which is good.Nice mountain views from the room. Good wifi.The only thing that can be improved is the shower head. We stayed at kea room. The water from the shower is too scattered".Thanks for everything!"

Makarora Mountainview Wilderness Accommodation
We were in and out of the Makarora area a few times over the holiday season in 2019 and of the couple places we stayed, Mountainview was easily the best. Clean, comfortable, and very private. The place is practically new. Having the refrigerator, microwave, toaster, etc was an added bonus. The wifi was solid, which is nice because the area is void of cellular coverage, and other places have terrible wifi. Reasonably priced for the quality of stay. Will stay there again if in the area.

Makarora Mountainview Wilderness Accommodation
We spent 2 nights at the Tui Studio pre and post a tramping trip. Kenna and Rick look after the place and their guests beautifully. It was a great spot, very peaceful, and the studio is very tidy and well equipped. Would happily return again. Thank you!

Loved it here. The room was lovely, huge bed and shower was clean and powerful. Very friendly host, happy to help us and even let us chnage booking last minute. The pub down the room was really nice, had a nice, busy atmosphere. Would recommend it here to anyone!!!

Makarora Mountainview Wilderness Accommodation
Wonderful experience! Beautiful view and our host Kenna, was great. We were only able to stay a single night here, but I wish we could have stayed more. Loved the bar/restaurant/visitor center at the bottom of the hill. Kenna let us know that the restaurant offers a buffet each night. Food was good. Beer was cold. And the locals are nice.
