Office looks nice and tidy but their service may be the slowest in the world. They seem to be locked on the objective of collecting tax, but forget that there are problems to be solved. Their phone line is useless, while they only provide one person (this is what I see when visiting this office) at the reception to deal with people with tax issues. With multimillion dollar yearly budget, they could have done much better than this.

I don't know what happened to these people, they were really good in customer service.From the last 6 months whenever I call them on their customer service number no matter what my issue is, the call doesn't go through.Sometimes the machine says -- because of high calls volume we are not able to answer your call and then they disconnect the call.One suggestion -- Remove your IRD customer service number when you can't answer our calls. You people are actually forcing us to come to your office because sometimes there is not everything on your website..Your office looks like a 5 star hotel reception but that won't help us in any way. Not everyone has the time in this busy work life to come to your office.Sometimes there are topics which actually doesn't show up on your website's search option.I wanted to inquire about my tax situation and for this you people actually are forcing me now to come to your office otherwise if something goes wrong at the end of the tax year then you people will blame me only that why didn't I tried to reach you in the starting.You will have to understand one thing that there are people still in this world who actually feel comfortable and understand more easily in face to face conversations and on call rather than using your website and my ir., and sorry but I am one of those.I still remember when I used to call you 2 years back, my call was always answered but now I don't know what happened to your on call customer service.Poor poor customer service.

Went there to apply for IRD number. The lady in the reception was really helpful and kind.Explained everything patiently,cleared every doubts eventhough she was busy with the other people .She told us that it will take up to 2 weeks.We got it as she said and i wonder why she is posted alone in the reception in such a busy office.

Same experience as others when trying to call. Took 3 days the first time to actually speak to a human and then was told I could set up online which failed Again! Sick of calling and getting fobbed off because they're experiencing high volumes" what a load of rubbish. If they can't cope with the volume get more people on the phones. Seems like it's made super difficult in the hope we will all just go away!!!"
