Methven Motels & Apartments

Enjoyed our stay at Methven Motels and Apartments for one night. We stayed in the King studio unit. The bed was a bit too soft for my liking but the room had everything we needed for the night, heat pump, fridge, free tea and hot chocolate, washing line. We were disappointed with the laundry facilities, I had my clothes in the dryer for 1.5 hours and it was still wet. Janice who was filling in was very friendly, extremely helpful and understanding. Service was excellent. Would not recommend their laundry facilities, very outdated and dryer doesn't work but the rooms were nice, would stay again.

Had a great one night at this pleasant motel. Room was comfortable meeting all our needs. We felt very welcome. Very close to the Opuke thermal pools which was a bonus for us. Highly recommend.

Warren and Leslie went out of their way to make us welcome. Stayed 2 nights and were very comfortable. A very nice place with awesome hosts. Thank you guys.No complaints at all.

Three ladies in Methven for just one night after a soak in the hot pools. Lovely clean, warm, cozy unit with everything we needed except for one thing! A mirror somewhere apart from the little one in the bathroom! It's a suggestion, definitely not a complaint. Thank you for changing us to a bigger unit so we had a bed each, very much appreciated.

Me and my partner had a wonderful night's stay. Very lovely owners down to earth people. The room was warm and comfortable. Will definitely come again

The couple running the motel were very nice, friendly and easygoing people. I was travelling solo, had mobile data issues and couldnt book online so just rocked up and asked for a room. The room was large and exceedingly clean with a great kitchenette and comfortable bed. Wifi had a strong signal and it was quiet so I slept well. I felt very safe. I was also able to wash and dry a weeks washing which was a bonus. It was an unexpectedly good experience. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Very spacious room, had everything we needed. Close to town. Clean and tidy

So welcoming, plenty of local knowledge, and advice, given. Beautifully appointed room, very clean. Notice asking to doing dishes (versus another very expensive dive, ing do the dishes or else we'll charge you even more!) Much better way to do it. Going to Methven, stay here. We will be back. We hired a std family room and it was just perfect. 4 adults and 2 littlies, we just wanted a place to land together after gathering (from out of town) for a family bereavement. The unit was spacious with great kitchen facilities, full fridge, great bathroom and lots of lovely comfy beds! Super clean and well presented, just what we were after. A short walk to Opuke Thermal pools, and the delightful Enchanted Forest Walk and just far enough away from the bustle of the main street. Warren and Leslie were such friendly, accomodating hosts, very helpful and willing to chat about local entities. We were unable to find a cottage on other sites without a 'minimum nights stay' and so this was the perfect and very welcome option for us. We only had one night to enjoy away - glad we chose Methven!
