Beautiful park, great short walk.

Park is in poor condition, poison on path edges to kill overgrowth clumps of grass on park after cutting

Very lovely to overlook the river with my dogs. Nice to chill in the sun or in rain under tree shades. The walking options are amazing, the tracks are very beautiful.My friend told me about this park and what a gem we've found now! Perfect for a picnic on a slow day. Makes the worries go away.

So lovely to walk. River, wide, paved paths, green everywhere. Just beautiful.

Beautiful spot! Great place for a walk.There are lots of dogs, some off leads.Alot of foot traffic during busy times.Please be aware most of cyclists expect walkers to move to let them pass rather than going around them. They will ring their bell if they have one. We found the bulk of them quite rude especially when you have children with you. There is no line dividing the path for walkers and cyclists. Also up on Totara Drive the cyclists also ride on the footpath. Which is quite inconsiderate and as I am aware bicycles are meant to ride on the road. The bridge across to Avondale and Flagstaff has always been a good spot to look at the views and a nice walk to the shops.Take care and be aware of your surroundings.

Awesome park and great walking spot with Waikato river views

Nice park next to the Waikato river. Good walkways and even a pedestrian bridge over the river. Benches to enjoy the view or have a picnic.There are covered wooded areas and mowed grass areas. Roll down the hill or play games at the bottom.

Keep to the left when walking or cycling. Be aware of others approaching and share with care. Nice place to visit, wheelchair friendly. Toilets found to the south along the loop walk about 700m away. Free parking along Totara Drive.

Braithwaite Park is a great place to have a walk or bike alongside the river. Plenty of seats and picnic tables with views of the river
