Probably the best food on K-Road. Grate decore. Superb flavours. Very friendly and down-to-earth service, but definitely not cheap... HAHAThe only thing I can't understand , and this is a problem with many establishments in NZ - THERE IS No AC - Air conditioning. It is very hard to enjoy such amazing dishes, and they are, when you're too hot. Something to take under consideration before you book on a hot day...

We couldn’t make a reservation in time but they were able to take us as walk-ins. We ordered the terrine of the day (duck, hawk, ham), pork sausage with pickles and mustard, falafel with coriander, and madelines. The food had such potent flavour. Mo, the owner, was able to spend time with us going through the menu as well as give us tips on where to go in NZ as it was our first day of arrival. There was a homey vibe to the place with personalized touches on the brick wall by the owner. Great ambiance. Prices are fair. I personally loved it! Would recommend to anyone visiting and locals seemed to favorite it as the place was packed on a Wednesday night

Incredible food and service, the attention to detail of front of house should be a benchmark. Quality of dishes was above and beyond and highly recommend, cannot fault any of the dishes with quality ingredients, have traveled all over for food, it’s world class, would highly recommend to everyone who appreciates quality and care for diners. Will be back over and over and cannot thank the staff enough.

Stunning meal, everything was delicious and the fantastic staff worked around my friend’s nut allergy. A highlight of dinners we’ve had in Auckland - each dish was well composed and offered something special. The soufflé was a real standout, highly recommend.

Mo was brilliant, guided us towards a fabulous night. Everything was yum, was hard to pick but least favourite was the burrata and eggplant because of the temperature of the cheese was too warm. Overall, lovely experience.

Booked to come just for some wine and pre dinner snacks but wow wish we had stayed for dinner too!Staff are sooo friendly and very helpful. I didn’t love my first glass of wine (my fault) so put my trust in our waiter for the second and he came back with a great choice of wineWe also ordered the charcuterie board to share (with a bag of bread) and wow it was HUGE. Was definitely not expecting something that big nor that delicious. They make their own duck liver parfait and pork shoulder rillarde and holy moly they were amazing! Real star of the show! The salami / chorizo was a bit lacklustre (not a ton of flavour) in comparisonCan’t wait to come back for s more leisurely visit

Just had a wonderful evening at Apero.The menu and how it works was explained to us by an enthusiastic knowledgeable chap. Everything we had was excellent including the wineI hate the saying “next level” but,,,,,,,!!!!Great recommendation by The Dish Magazine

Perfect date night spot! Incredible food and even more incredible service. The grilled halloumi special with the bread & butter was simple yet mouthwatering. All the bites we ordered were great and we can’t wait to go back to try more. The staff were amazing!
