Takeaway shop primarily for biltong and sausages, but really neat for me to see a place like this for the first time. The staff asked how we want it, firmness, seasoning, fat content, etc which then they cut it off the rack for you. Quick stop.

I will drive the extra just to get my fix of bilton! I go to get the bilton sticks and bilton chips from Freds as they are the best I have found in Auckland so far.

Really good biltong, droewors, boerewors, and biltong chips.A bit expensive, but so delicious.(They aren't super cheerful as a default :P, but always nice and friendly where it counts :).)

Fred's is a small South African shop, but has the best biltong on the North Shore! Not too salty, perfect spices and a range of moist to dry choices. Their staff are friendly and incredibly helpful with any advice or product knowledge. Also, excellent standards during Covid restrictions.

We buy jerky here and we are satisfied with the quality. The staff is always polite and takes into account our wishes. Each time before buying, he asks what we would like and offers to try the selected piece!
