U Boutique Hotel

Great location and good room. We stayed as a group of five in the family room. I will be really clear - it is small - like a European hotel room but it has all you need. The toilet and shower are attached to the room and there are coffee/tea making facilities and a small fridge. It’s actually two rooms which is useful if you have children. There is also access to a small balcony where you can sit. There is construction next door but there was none happening while we were there. The hotel also supplies ear plugs but work doesn’t start until 7.30 and in a city you’d be woken by traffic at that time anyway.There are two off steeet parking spots but also public on street parking. If you arrive after 5 I imagine on street parking would be easy to find. It’s free over night and there are also private car parks nearby.There is access to laundry facilities and the manager was very helpful when I asked for assistance.I would definitely recommend this quirky but lovely little hotel.

Lovely staff, very accommodating. Comfortable bed, good shower. Continental breakfast very basic, but nice. The only cereal was Musli, they kept that well topped up.Nice and clean, no air conditioning, but lovely air flow anyway, so wasn't needed. Carpark was to small for a big vehicle, but perfect for smaller car. Good location.Overall happy and will recommend to others.

It's not often I bother with a review but this has to be the worst hotel in Wellington for so many reasons.PJ was horrible to deal with online. Absolutely terrible service.Booked for a staff member who couldn't believe how bad the room was. Earplugs because construction starts at 7am... Shared bathroom less than ideal and always full. In the end we had to laugh at just how bad the room, host, checkin and facilities were.Do not book this place. Just don't.

Great location and very clean.It is not a luxury hotel but such great price. Must admit, they upgraded our room so we definitely got our money worth.They allow pets which is a bonus for pet owners.Staff was friendly and helpful, although they aren't there all the time.Check in was pretty straight forward, you just need to read the email instruction carefully.We left our luggage there as we had a whole day before our evening flight and they were very helpful.

What a great hotel! The room was nice with a balcony. The shared bathroom was large and clean. Hot water. The staff was nice and welcoming. The breakfast was great! Within walking distance of New World, Cubs St, the train station, the harbour, the cable car etc.

This is an addition.I lowered the evaluation!Everyone please be careful!About parking fee.The staff of the hotel instructed me to park in the public parking lot..So, I did.But the hotel deducted the hotel parking fee without my consent.Was it to deceive me that you didn't give me a receipt?。。。。。。。。。It was good that the room was very spacious, but maybe because it was old, the footsteps on the second floor continued for hours.Cars must be parked in a nearby paid parking lot.The room was warm because the heating worked. (There were many air conditioners without heating in New Zealand hotels)

I don't know about the other rooms but avoid rooms 4 and 5 at all cost. There is a terrible constant noise, like an industrial vent system, at +60db all day and night. Couldn't even rest properly with earplugs. My bathroom was big and only for me, but outside the room (don't mess with cards and keys!). Poor noise isolation from other guests also, you can hear everything. Breakfast was nice, all the food for 2 days I suppose, because the room wasn't cleaned (I don't know if they do this service though).You can park outside free from 8pm to 8am.

We loved our short stay at U Boutique Hotel. Our room was very spacious, the furniture was modern and very comfortable. There was a full kitchen so we could cook a few meals. The location was convenient to explore all the main sights downtown. Maybe we got lucky and got an upgrade, but we had tons of space and could've definitely stayed longer! Highly recommend visiting the Te Papa museum which is nearby and free

Second time using these hotels, first time great and pet friendly although didn't match photos on advertising. Second time, definitely not as advertised(photos) did what we were after but small , needed some tlc and quilt needed a wash
