This little eatery was a favourite Haunt but looks like the cafe/takeaway has been sold and the food tonight was overcooked and the only flavour was dark soy sauce!!My partner's meal was actually that bad we had to send it back as the food had a burnt taste where the sugar, that they add now, burnt and tainted the whole dish. the chef blamed the dark soy sauce!!!! we eat out all the time and lots of asian food we know what dark soy sauce flavour tastes like.The legendary ribs of past are now just coated heavily in a thick sweet sauce. the same sauce coated the tofu dishThe Service is a young daughter whom rather hang with her friends ( understandably) and you had to get up and ask to be served. Other patrons also had to complain, young child was given overspiced dish so had to be recooked.Its a shame as ChopChew was one of our favourite local eats

Food here is always so yummy and full of flavor. This is one of my favorite places in the area. Staff are friendly as well.

Chop Chew
Talk about a great local spot! Chop chew takes their best takes on South East Asian flavours for all to enjoy. Shared a range of items here with my little family and enjoyed every bite. The service was fast and friendly. But the food was even better with good portions for its price range. Will continue to try the rest of the menu knowing it is just a drive away. Don't skip this one guys!

Great little place. I got takeaways, so only sat down while I waited, but the green curry I had was excellent, and the pad Thai was also really good. Would love to eat in, the premises looked really nice, I loved the décor and design of the place, colourful and welcoming.

Very funky and interesting design and decor. Food price are competitive, specially when you come from central AKL. The sticky ribs was sooooo good, tender inside and crispy outside with a hint of southeast flavor, can be one of the tops in town. And the crab on wok, not bad, it's curried flavor soft shell crab, take a little bit long but freshly cooked on our order. Crying tiger is steak in southeast special sauce with sticky rice, I personally like that sauce, not heavy at all, perfect in summer. Would like to try others next time.

Great new little Vietnamese place recently opened.. Food and taste was awesome and the pricing very good... Staff were friendly and we will be back again. Very happy to have a local Vietnamese restaurant close by. They are not on uber eats yet.
