Very scenic 360 view of the bay. It's not very crowded at all because everyone is at the beach. Bring water and a hat. This is one of the stops on the hop on hop off bus route.

The Michael J. Savage Memorial on Bastion Point is a nice place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the busy waterfront. The memorial commemorates New Zealand's first Labour Prime Minister. There's an obelisk and well maintained gardens overlooking the Waitemata Harbour with nice views to Rangitoto Island. There's plenty of green space and shady spots for a picnic or to just chill out and parking is free. There's also clean and well maintained toilets available.

The memorial commemorates New Zealand's first Labor Prime Minister (from 1935-1940). It was built on the site of a former weapons storage facility from the 1880s. The memorial was officially opened in March 1943.Quiet place, not so crowded. Nice borders and lawns. Good view over the harbor canal to the center of Auckland.

Some of Auckland's best views, from the port around to Brown's Island. Beautifully laid out gardens, unfortunately the time of year means the gardens aren't full of plantings, but the roses still look great. Not a big walk from the carpark, definitely worth spending an hour or two enjoying serenity in the middle of the city

This is a beautiful spot in Auckland to admire the beautiful memorial and take some photos. The garden looks incredible at any hour of the day and walking around it feels phenomenal. The flowers are very pretty and the design is elegant and perfect :]
