Matariki Constellation Carvings
Under a tree by the railway track are (or are supposed to be as one of them is currently missing) seven carved statues which represent the seven stars of Matariki, also known as the Pleiades star cluster or the seven sisters. The statues are all different and all have a story which is documented on a sign nearby. A nice spot to have a picnic in the shade and admire these artworks.
