Got my order wrong, found hair in our food, the photos in the review don't look anything like what we were served. Looked like they slopped leftovers into plastic takeaway box that was filled with oil. Took one bite of each and left. Chips were also stale. No clue how this has such high reviews. Spent over $30 for the thinnest layer of guac that was slapped into large plastic takeaway box and three tacos that poured out water. Could have finished the guac in 4 dips if it wasn't stale and didn't look like sludge. Really disappointed, I was so hyped by misleading reviews.

Authentic Mexican food from Spanish speaking Asians!Queue for food took and hour! Probably caught by surprise, a crowd coming passing by from the refuse station on a hot Sunday avo.We bought 4 x tacos, lamb and beef very tasty. And a chicken burrito. All for $34.we didn't add $2 guacamole as e had some at home. If you're in henderson, worth a trip, though an hr wait was too long. There were only 2 in the kitchen though.

The taste of the food surprised us because it reminded us of the true flavor of Mexican food made by hand with love and quality. We enjoyed an exquisite meal, a magnificent time with the family, without stress and with wonderful attention from the people who attended us. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a little slice of Mexico's Cielito Lindo" just west of Auckland

I have been hearing great reviews about this place for 2 years.Finally tried it and am very full and happy now!I was initially surprised at the price of almost 18 dollars for a burrito, but I guess that makes sense given how stuffed it was and Auckland prices.All in all, the black bean burrito was very good and reminded me of Mexican food I would get from mom n pop restaurants in the USA.The woman at the counter asked me if I wanted it spicy or mild, and since I didn't know how serious they were about spiciness, I went with mild. Next time, will ask them to make it semi spicy".There will DEFINITELY be a next time."

This place was great, a real hidden gem. $15 got me a huge beef steak burrito which had nice pieces of steak in it and didn't skimp, great flavor too. For me that was the best value item. If you like spice, the salsa was fantastic. Everything is freshly made, even the chips. Highly recommend, best Mexican food in Auckland - 10x better than Taco Bell or Mexicali.

Horrible food. No flavour, watered down, dry meat with no seasoning or salt. I was constantly seeing them add water to their food to make it go further which made everything watery and flavourless . The soft tacos shells were stale and tasted like cardboard. Inside the tacos was just a whole lot of raw onion and coriander with dry tasteless what I hope was real meat? A few dots of sour cream, cheese and tomato which was so minimal you couldn’t taste it. The price you pay vs portion is a complete ripoff. The cheese sauce on the nachos tasted like plastic. I’m very confused by how this place has such a high rating and how people eat it? Water is dripping from the food as you eat it.The only good thing about the place is the lady who serves the front counter. She has an amazing ability to multiple task. She was serving customers and prepping food. I was amazed how she remembered who ordered what. I’m not sure if I agree with the hygiene practices of someone serving my food and then touching the till.I hope one day I will eat real Mexican food because this was the opposite to that. I don’t recommend any of the food here. I threw my food away instantly

Born and raised Californian here (we're taco snobs) --- This is hands down the best Mexican food I've had in New Zealand.Like, 11/10.The tortillas I believe are made from scratch and wow, just wow. Everything about the tacos I had were straight up perfection, felt like I was home for a bit.Initially ate 3 tacos, but had to devour 3 more just to make sure the memory would last me for a while before I return. :)

Don't judge the outside for the quality of food inside!!We saw this place on the Chasing a Plate YouTube channel and drove from South Auckland especially to try it out and we were not disappointed! Great simple and tasty food and drinks.Beef taco was amazing, burrito was packed. Probably wouldn't get the fish taco again, but the rest was amazing. Will visit again!

Nice food. It wasn't wow but it was nice. Helpful service. Looking forward to sample some other things on the menu in the future.1 chicken taco, 2 chicken sopes and side of guacamole costed just under $25. Didn't understand why taco had double tortilla. Maybe burrito will be more exciting. Will go back and give it a try. Atmosphere 2 stars as it could do with a bit of a vibe pumped into it. Maybe some music even or something.
