I visited 8 months ago on a rainy Waitakere day but that didn't dampen(pun intended) what there was to see an easy 5-10 minute walk if you don't things to photograph on the way like the spider webs we found absolutely awesome highly recommended before tackling the Dam walk which I'll be doing in 2023

Very easy walk to old dam site. Quite a neat place to explore around. Well worth a look.

Going down to the dis used dam is the only part of the track which is open. The rest is closed due to Kauri dieback.

Easy as walk to an incredible ending, I hear the left fork takes you to swamps to go right, parking isnt huge but there is parking down the road at the other incredible hiking spot
