Neat historical town to visit, but I wish they would ban cars from parking on the main street. It would be so much more appealing to look at and walk around

The museum was like most museums I've visited,very informative about the local district and it's history!! The township was a time capsule, resembling almost an old American western themed township?Nonetheless very beautiful township

well its a cozy place to meet friends, but the most interesting part is the old Chinese village (where u can read a bit of the history and their participation in the NZ’d gold rush)

Arrowtown has been called the prettiest little town. It was incorporated as a county in 1867. In 1874 the first mayor was elected. This was Samuel Goldston. Arrowtown is located 19.5 kilometers east of Queenstown.It has a large parking lot right in the park at the entrance to town

This was so much better than we expected. You could easily spend an hour here. A must see when visiting Arrowtown.

Lovely to walk around the town and look at the history, to see all and doing the hike along the river all up was about 4 hours, cheap bus ($1-2) gets you there from Queenstown. Worth the visit.
