Good toilets with toilet paper and spacious parking now in the off season. No drinking water. Lovely and quiet water with view and boat ramp to walk on :)

Can stay overnight with self contained vehicles. Tents not allowed. Will be busy during the summer time. Good for fishing from the wharf and clean toilets

Lovely spot with public toilets. I suggest you take a warm coat if you are planning on walking the whalf on a windy day in June, like we did.

Spent the night over there in self contained van. I got there around 5pm and it was already pretty full (that's during winter). Must be really busy during summer time. Nice place with toilets, bins and picnic tables. Some nice views over the boat ramp. Not too far from Auckland.

Good place for Self contained freedom camping. Toilet clean and close. Plenty of space for campers. Had a nice walk to the pier at sunset and beautifull morning next day.

Another great place to visit. Busy with campers and caravaners, which made the area lively - the kids were loving jumping off the wharf. The tide was out revealing lots of mud flats. Toilet facilities and a kids play area.

Port Albert and it's boat ramp bring fishermen and tourists into this small settlement. Port Albert was once an important Port for exporting locally milled Kauri timber and whole Kauri trunks that were used as spars on the sailing ships that were used when NZ was first settled by Pakeha. These days the Kauri forests have gone and have been replaced by farming but the remnants of the Port survive as a launching point for boats of local fishermen and for tourists, mostly in the Summer. There is a children's play area, a toilet block and free camping spots under the Pohutukawa trees.
