Great food as usual, but today the service was very poor. After eating our meals we waited for sometime, but no offer of a dessert menu or anything else was forthcoming. Your loss as we had dessert elsewhere. Thanks

Unbeatable view of the Oamaru port. Lots and seals lying on the bay to see from the restaurant. This restaurant is located right next to the blue penguins colony. Great interior decor with lots of indoor plants, well staffed and staff are friendly and helpful. We didn't get to sit by the window but the atmosphere was still great. The food was not bad but also not great. We had two pizzas, a squid and a hotpot and 4 gelatos. The squid was quite interestingly seasoned. The Hot pot was tomato based soup cooked too hard. Gelato flavours looked interesting but couldn't really taste the flavours just nothing but too sweet. The freezer was probably set too cold, it was hard to scoop up and didn't make the staff's life easy. Gelato was the most disappointing part of the night.

Salad old and soggy.. over cooked seafood over deessed/sauced and that platter is $50 !!! over priced , staff disorganized, forgot what I ordered had to ask a number of times. grubby glasses and sticky water bottle had to return and hightly not recommended !!

The restaurant has a beautiful view. We have been here in 2018 and it was one of the best fish platters we ever had. I recommended the place to a lot of friends who were visiting Oamarua over the years. Now we got back ourselfs and we were eagerly looking forward to eat there again.Long story short, we were sadly disappointed.The staff was friendly but the food was not really good anymore:-The Seafood Paella was horrible. The rice overcooked and the seafood without any flavor. (I eat a lot of seafood and this tasted like frozen one..)- Our kids had burgers. They arrived completely burned. When we said something they remade one, but it arrived completely burned again. (nobody checks quality)- The cocktails were very sour and with no good quality prosecco.- The pizza was below standard, but still the best of all meals- The prices on the website are not up-to-date, everything got more expensiveI'm so sad to see what this place has become, when we were here last, it was hard to get a table.. now it was almost empty on a Saturday evening.It was also a slap in our face when we payed and they said because we had some trouble with our burgers" she will give us a discount

Great Dinner, rib eye is fantastic. We ordered ice cream in the end, and just walked out then saw penguins.

What a delightful little find. OAMARU on a Sunday!!! Awesome vibe, awesome service, awesome beer on tap, (buzzing after the first pint of McLeod's pale ale- winning)... but the food- OMFG the FOOD... it is absolutely delicious. Oamaru!!! Wow. The beers on tap, the authentically made gelato, the fresh seafood... the fresh seafood, the pizza. I love food and I'm happy. Service, vibe, beers, food...I am moving in. What a wicked way to spend a Sunday. Without a doubt 5 stars xxx
