Mythos Greek Souvlakis

Have been getting lunch here regularly with my work place and has always been nice food but as of last week has taken a turn for the worst, the chicken was flavourless and a bit scarce for a double overloaded with lettuce with a sprinkle of tomatoes. have now lost this customer and will not be returning

Massive drop in standards since new owners took over. Souvlaki was smaller, taste was nowhere near as good, less meat with smaller chunks, bread was overly chewy. Owner not interested in feedback. Gone from being best souvlaki in Chch to run of the mill.

I ordered from here as i have in the past. This is usually a close second to the best souvlaki in town. (Dimitris) I ordered from uber. It was packaged well too but its not the same. I came to review and see im not the only one to think this and also see there are new owners.(congrats on your new venture )What sets mythos and dimitris apart are thier sauces the tztikiki, the way they marinate and cook thier chicken and the pita. And to be honest tonight its not the same.There are a couple of aspects in which its the same but its different. The tzikiki , the texture and flavour is different- maybe a different supplier , the meat is different not as tender and not as much flavour the chilli is different too. The service was great i called and asked for extra sauces and the guy was really polite.I would say they just need to make some tweaks and go back to old suppliers if they have changed so they keep that magic that sets them.apart from the rest. Maybe the old owners can give insights. Also.amazing you guys do meat on chips!!! All the best will make sure to give it another go soon !!

Might be handy to employ somone with a better understanding of english just got mucked around for over 45 mins after ordering on the phone ariving to only 1 souvalki made out of the 3 ordered and made with sauces that have never been served on these souvalkis before we were asked what sauce we wanted even after stating the normal sauces youve used for the last 10 years we were still served with the wrong items and are severeley disapointed with the service and langauge barrier was a verry unpleasnt event. would not recomend coming here anymore go to dimitris souvaliki instead

I will never be returning. This used to be me and my family’s favorite Greek restaurant. So sad you have lost 4 customers at least. Souvlakis used to take at least half and hour to make but now it’s quick and terrible. The lack of passion is shown in the quality and quantity of the food. I could go on but this is only the half of it. So disappointing. Better value and quality at Mc Donald’s

Service was a tad slow as 2 workers there but one cooking and one just standing at the register. Seems like a change of owner as quality has gone down too. Not bad food but wasn't 'greek' flavours like some other places in Chch.

Bring back the old owners, food was very average compared to what it was. Pita was dry/old, double chicken was half the size of what it use to be and all the sauce was just dumped on top. Lady on the phone couldn’t understand anything I was saying. Not coming back

We had heard there were new owners so decided to try out the souvlaki for tonight's dinner - unfortunately we will not be returning. The flavours were not Greek at all and as we spend several months a year in Greece we should know how it should taste. The tzatziki was lumpy, watery, and flavourless - nothing like authentic Greek tzatziki which should be thick, creamy, and garlicky - I suspect the yogurt being used is not Greek yogurt to keep costs down. Because of this by the time we got home the pita bread was all soggy. Most of the filling was lettuce, maybe one or two tiny pieces of tomato and not as much lamb as I remember.
