We went here for lunch on a wet day with the Classic Motoring Society car club.Very welcoming to us, let us use the kitchen and lounge. Everyone loved it.

Beautiful place, greeted by a nice gentleman. He explained where everything was and how everything worked and left us on to it. Nice, clean property with a small playground for kids, hot showers (take $1 for 4 minutes and can add more) laundry, kitchen, trash and recycling, outdoor place to use gas stove and get out of the rain. Even has a nice comfy living space to sit down and chat. Would 100% recommend this place if you're in the area and need to recharge. It was the best place we stayed. Only downside is it's close to the railroad tracks. That's really about it. Cheers!

The location was easy to find. The caretaker was so friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are very clean & even decorated. The location is decorated with fairy lights, so pretty.

Lovely campsite, amenities are all very clean. Very good price at $11 p/p. The caretaker was very friendly and welcoming. Cute flowers and fair lights everywhere which make it pretty at night. Little kitchenette with sink, microwave, toaster and kettle with a table + chairs and lounge area. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely campground. Host was a merry gentleman. Facilities were clean. Showers were nice and hot ($1 per shower but well worth it). Would recommend staying here.

We loved it here. It was our first campground in New Zealand and after many others still among the very best. The caretaker is very nice and helpful. The gardening is beautiful with many lillies. The bathrooms are clean and decorated with flowers and rubber ducks. Children will love that. There is a comfy common room for the rainy day. You cannot cook in the kitchen but wash your dishes. There is also a microwave and a kettle. Maybe a toaster, but I can't exactly remember. For cooking there is a shelter. It's conveniently located between Christchurch and Arthur's Pass.

We stayed a night after a long wet drive up the we(s)t coast yesterday. This place is quaint, immaculately maintained and offers a little hall for chilly nights and games etc. The pub is a 5 minute walk away - good food and a range of beers.

We camped here for 4 nights with our 2 children. Showers and toilets are kept clean, grounds kept nice. Very reasonable price. 1 dispointment is the caretaker(the lady only) she was very rude to myself and my child. If you have kids this is probably not the best camping ground because of her. My young child was upset as they get when they are little, I was trying my best to calm her down. This women yells SHUT UP at us when she was walking past. On one other occasion she told my child directly to shut up. She made me feel on edge and couldn't really enjoy myself, especially since it also feels like she hovers around to keep an eye on you! It's funny as they seem to try and invite children with the playground and the toys in the community room however can't seem to stand them. She definitely needs to take a chill pill. I would of liked to go back but shes put us off.

Easily our favourite campsite in NZ if not the whole world - just look at the rubber ducks lined up in the female's shower and you know how much love the caretakers have dedicated to maintaining the place! The showers and toilets are spotless, much better than many holiday parks which are twice the cost and more.In daytime you can admire the lovely flowers grown all over the campsite. And at night it is decorated by flashy laser and Xmas light-ups which also guide you back to your car.Caretaker is also super nice and helpful. No WiFi but strong cellular signal. I would rate 11/10.
