‘Buggers’ being the operative word!

I rang Evitza for information on converting a boat to meet e wof standards. He gave some basic info but when I asked further questions about the process - questions I needed answers to before proceeding with the job - he swore, told me to stop wasting his time and hung up. He appears to be a Croatian gentlemen with a very short fuse and no understanding of any form of customer relations or service. Maybe this works in Croatia but it sure doesn't in NZ. I wouldn't consider using someone so rude and would suggest that you find another company providing the same service (or lack of service in his case) to do your work.

I had a problem, engine wouldn’t start. I suspected an electrical issue so popped into Waterfront Electrical. A couple of fellows were having lunch, one of whom turned out to be the owner. Despite my bad timing he asked me to explain my problem. He said he’d finish his lunch and if convenient for me he would meet me at the yacht. Which he did so. He identified the problem, a switch, and checked relevant wiring. All in all total time including travel would have been 45 minutes. I said I would call into his office on my way past and pay the bill. He said there would be no charge. I was extremely grateful for his service and his generosity with his time and expertise. Yes, I may have eventually found a solution to my problem but he saved me a heap of time and angst.
