I've stayed at the Mokau Motel many times for work. The owners are great people to deal with and are always very welcoming. The rooms are spotlessly clean.View is lovely and on a clear day Mt Taranaki is on full display.They are also welcoming of my work dog so for me it is the perfect place to stay.Highly recommended.

We were met at reception by an extremely welcoming host. Lovely woman.She showed us to our unit which was large and airy/well appointed with fabulous views!We would have marked it 5 star except it was a bit grubby. ie Dirt in the corners on the bathroom floor and the toaster and kettle were filthy - worse than my ones at home. I suggest the managers have a word to their cleaners. Also I think the mattress is a bit tired.

We stayed back in Jan over the busy holiday period, and the hosts were awesome, lovely people! Great family unit and all facilities, very clean, comfortable and good value for money. 2x adults & 4x kids, all 7 years & under. Beautiful views to wake up to. We loved our stay and will definitely be back.

The owners were really friendly and accommodating. We were stranded and they fitted us in to a self contained unit as we had little kids. Beautiful views of Mokau and the surrounding area. A great place to break up the trip.

We stayed for 4 night's. Rooms very clean and tidy. Excellent showers. Self contained. Management very friendly and always around if you need anything. Overall excellent place to stay. We would stay again. Thanks the fish was most enjoyable.

Late check in and early check out so didn't actually get to meet the staff. But the room was perfect. Stunning views to wake up to. Spacious and clean with excellent shower pressure. Everything you might need for a quick business stop.

We only picked the Mokau Motel as it broke up our journey but I am glad we did! Rooms were lovely, shower pressure was soooo good and I would absolutely recommend staying here!

We arrived late as travelling decent distance before. They made sure we could access our room easily. Family unit downstairs for 2 kids, 3 adults. Lovely crisp bedlinen. Warm. Kitchen was spotless and had everything we needed. Fresh plunger coffee and decent teas and hot choc. Fresh milk in the fridge. Love the towel swans too! Got the family up early to walk out to Elephant Rock and the 3 Sisters - 10-15 mins drive south. Would happily stay again.
