Shop is looking old n tired ...staff are genuinely quiet n seen but not heard ...Good range of products but noticing huge increase in prices for vegies n meat n ones basics ...Best part is location good parking n postal boxes available if you need it .

I personally prefer PAKnSAVE as they have a wider range of food availible, friendly staff, full shelves, lower prices, better parking space, a cafe, discounts on petrol, and much more. But countdown is alright I guess.

I have a UK drivers license which I can use to rent a house here, buy a car and travel all over NZ but apparently I can't use it to by 2 cans of craft beer in Countdown. I appreciate there may be a 'store policy' but the staff should be using some common sense as well. I'm 35 years old with a beard.

You guys need to upgrade your cashier system, it's just too slow, not enough cashiers at all, and all is done by hand.Plus the breadcrumbs snitzsel which cost 6 dollars EACH!! Were the worst snitzels I ever tried in my life, the bread is just not sticked with egg to the meat so when you cook it the bread falls away. An extreme emergency supermarket for me.

Good location of the supermarket on the Middle Renwick Road with a large car park. Wheelchair people are welcome too because the shop is wide. Next door you can find easilythe pharmacy, post office and Photoprint.

It's a Big supermarket, though the layout is a bit confusing. I always get what I want, but it requires backtracking and asking of the ever-corteous staff
