Yummy chips, especially the beer batter fries: they are sensational: crispy, tasty, but not over-greasy; food seems really well drained). Everything I've had there, has always been delicious. And I believe they cook in rice bran oil, which I prefer, it's reportedly a lot better in health terms.

The best fish and chips in Porirua with delicious extras if you would like something different. I highly rate the fish dinner as it comes with fries, slaw and sides of lemon, tomato sauce and tartar sauce too.

Well impressed! Was passing by, saw was opened, after 3pm,Weds... decided to try it out, yumo! Had battered fish, half scoop of chips, fish cake & homemade gravy... under $20, was delish! Crispy batter on fish, chips were fluffy inside and nice and crispy outter, gravy mmmm, totally recommend! Lady even brought our kai to us whilst we waited outside for order, didnt hear our order called out, typical windy as wellies weather, thankyou! Will be back :)

Extremely disappointing. After an hour and 20 minute wait we opened our fish and chips to find they were over well over cooked to the pointer couldn’t eat them.

I rung and was told an hour pick up time. With the order we asked for three chips. Very disappointing. They had just wrapped it there and then so it should've been hot when we opened it. Hell no. It was a mix of cold warm and the odd hot chip as in maybe 10 12 in total. The order was expensive at least get the chips right. Don't make it up with the left overs from other's orders.

Really excellent fish and chips and new crew are into their groove now. Tasty and non greasy. Had them on the beach. Order ahead if you're in a hurry as there's always been a long wait at peaktime.

Excellent food, huge range and fantastic friendly service. I had the loaded wedges plus cheese burger, wedges were a meal on their own. Wife had delicious fish and a generous helping of potato fritters.

Ordered fish and chips Friday. Crumbed tarakihi and battered for my husband. The crumbed tarakihi fillet was thin and extremely dry. Looked like it had come straight from the freezer. Chips were perfect.

I used to love this place, under its previous management. The fish was fantastic and the service was good. It was the best fish and chips shop in Wellington. Not anymore. Now the food is worse and the service much worse. Dealing with rude teenage servers doesn't work for me. I'll be getting my fish and chips from Thai Plimmerton from now on.
