I went to Andrew Black's last week (without an appointment) as my glasses had a broken frame. I was served straight away by the technician, John, who then spent about 15 minutes attending to my needs. He was able to find new frames that would fit my existing lenses, he then inserted the lenses into the new frames and spent time making sure that the frames fitted my face. All the time, he was exceptionally pleasant and friendly, and the cost to me was just the cost of the frames with nothing to pay for his help. I left feeling happy and uplifted. 5/5 for excellent service.

Seeing AB for over 20 years, and hes almost always met my fussy needs. As a family we've used them for over 30 years. The team are very professional, accommodating, and deal with anything from eye infections to tricky contact lense prescriptions. Only thing I'd do is add funky adult frames to their frame selection. Keep up the good work!

Great experience! They were able to book me in for the same day when one of my eyes flared up from irritation, despite having never been there before. The staff are thoughtful and professional, and my issue was quickly resolved. I'd highly recommend Andrew Black to anyone needing expert care.

Andrew was amazing! He spent a lot of time checking over my eyes meticulously. I went in with a problem that had been irritating my one eye for a while now and I'm so happy to say he has got to the bottom it! Really nice guy as well, made me feel really comfortable with everything. He gets full marks from me.

Great, very professional and thorough during my eye examination. Got all my many questions answered and everything explained. Was then helped in an equally professional, entertaining and patient way to pick what kind of glasses I wanted - which also greatly helped settling into the realisation that I now needed ones in the first place. Highly recommended!

Good optometrists for the years I've been a customer. But recently the anti reflective coating wore off my glasses and when I went in to ask about it I was told that they were just badly scratched. I had doubts about the answer so went to another optometrist who said that these glasses should have been replaced as the coating had worn badly within the two year warranty period. Andrew Black should have advised me the true state of wear instead of dodging a potential warranty issue. Disappointed with Andrew Black.

Twice in the last 12 months or so I have been to see these folks (without appointment) because of problems with the frame of my glasses. They have been so helpful and pleasant to deal with, each time fixing my problem on the same day at a very reasonable cost. I am so impressed and grateful. 10/10 plus a Gold Star!!
