I witnessed security put his hands on a member of the public in the chch city council building for filming. Disgusting.

Highly don't recommend working with Red badge! They are very rude and abusive, I have bruises from an encounter with one of the larger staff male members. I felt completely intimidated and scared as the male staff member kept pushing me with two open hands and medium force to keep me in a crowd that was moving around a lot that it was causing myself to step a few inches over the line at some stages of the night. Red Badge is a disgraceful team and anyone who should consider working with them, this is one of many warnings I could give you that these people are highly unprofessional and are better off shutting down thier busniss.

As a former employee for Red Badge, I am very disappointed and furious. I was accepted into a security position role which I held for over a year and a half. There was no training and I was put right on the job working many events, functions and corporate duties inside and outside of Auckland.Most shifts would be very long and sometimes 12-14 hours with VERY limited breaks in the rain without an issued jacket. When working during the night - flashlights were often not issued.There were no perks or benefits to being employed with Red Badge. Many guards were unprofessional and were deemed incompetent to hold such a role.A guard turned up to work drunk once and I reported it to management and management did not follow through with a proper process.Out of the blue one day, my rostering app access was cut and my uniform was picked up from me. Rostering said that they were having maintenance on their rostering app and they were doing a stocktake. However this was not true and they had lied to me. Cole Taylor (a manager at the time) had messaged me about complaints from 6-7 months ago he wanted to discuss in a meeting. He never got back to me about the meeting and dismissed me illegally without following fair and proper practices.Pay was very poor and the rostering team would sometimes offer me a gas compensation to attend functions/events further away and I never received it. Rostering was pushy and often forced me to work during me advising them I was unwell sometimes.The lads that attended priority situations were called the 'response team' and I had observed them on some occasions go all hands on when it wasn't necessary and use excessive force. In some cases pushing a guy and slamming him down onto the concrete for no reason.Red Badge also accused guards of things that they didn't do without sufficient evidence and were simply unfounded. All they would have needed to do were to look into the report and look into the legitimacy of it.Sometimes security procedures would be rushed to get patrons into the venue like bag searches, pat-downs, ID-checks etc. This certainly allowed for contraband to be smuggled into the venue.Most guards are uneducated about filming laws when guards told a member of the public at the Massey Community Testing Station that filming in public was illegal before laughing at his face and being rude.Don't get me wrong though, there were certainly some great people that worked for Red Badge and some people certainly deserved work for Red Badge. Some bad choices from management and negligence have really just brung down the reputation of the company and some other factors.I would love to have a chat with CEO Andy. Unprofessional guards and bad management who do not care about the welfare about their staff. Do not contract Red Badge for a event as they will ruin the experience of those attending through that of being unprofessional, rude and unfriendly and asserting a false sense of authority.

I worked for Redbadge for couple of months when I was a student. I have something to say about it. First, I was required to work from 10am till 1am with no break.Second, many of guards have no license.Third, as website showed, they have applied subsidy of over 4 million dollars but I have ever received a week pay during lockdown.Finally, they have many racists in the team including supervisors and staffs, think about it before you work for them if you are in a different color. Completely rude staff and even more unprofessional management team. My experience with the team at a function was absurd and unfair. They create their own rules without valid reason and with pure disregard for human rights. Overall security process is a joke and personally I don’t believe they should be hired for such public events. Racist, prejudice & completely unnecessary actions from the team here. I will be making a formal complaint in the hopes they review their practices so the same thing doesn’t happen to others again.

Lots of people had awful experiences with some employees of this security firm at a large event this weekend. You need to train your people and the ones in blue especially the girl who was all of 15 years I have no words!

We are one of the retailer in Hamilton Centre. Very impressed with a guard - Kelly. She is the only guard who visits the premise regularly, well presented, communicative, and responsive. Can't remember any other guard doing the same. Keep it up Kelly.

Absolutely disgusting behavior from your administration my cousins worked for you guys for just under 3 and a half years to which he's had many incidents and run ins with you administrators but nothing like what I herd this morning and threatening and swearing at my poor cousin over the phone this morning aye tal or tell thats his name follow up about John

My friend works at this company, and his experience has been nothing but terrible. Many times has he seen abusive activity towards employees. The supervisors are all rude and disruptive.
