Fendalton Mall Shopping Center
A wonderful wee shopping centre in the heart of Fendalton. The refreshed and reinvigorated New World is outstanding and their deli is their standout section along with their wine section. However, the absolute jewel of the mall has to be the Bakermans bakery / cafe which I rate as highly as the Copenhagen or Village bakery in Ilam. Their creamed cake selections are just exquisite!

Carpark is a nightmare, with inadequate pedestrian crossings - mu 9yo with broken arm nearly taken out by speeding Mercedes. And then he was gutted the bakery didn't have any vegetarian pies at all :/

Nice place with a friendly atmosphere. Great chemist, A super friendly New World thats stocked with products and delicious bakery cafe, the best in Christchurch Bakermans. Dutch owned and operated. Everything baked fresh each day. Delicious sweet treats, savoury muffins and pies and fast service.

Now I hate tar everyone with the same brush but not a big fan of the new world, for some reason the most unpleasant and rude people shop at this store, that not all people but a significant amount. The new world is great, great flower selection and good customer service.The fendalton pharmacy is amazing, the people that work there are great, I live on the other side of town but I go to that pharmacy for my covid jabs, also they have fantastic selection of nick nacks.No sure about the other businessesBut they are always busy.

Speedy which is great at lunch time break. Lovely food and great cuppa tea. Service was excellent and a cherry wee soul on counter front was great. Keep smiling ladies, looks good. Love ya work.
