Incredibly positive shopping experience. Was attended to by Sybil who went beyond to help me work out the optimum combination of hiring and buying for the Milford Hike. Hired hiking boots and waterproof pants bought some other items. Really like that Sybil knew what layering was required for the conditions and had a genuine interest in the products she was selling. She also made the whole thing happen very efficiently. Couldn’t have been happier to have found everything I was looking for.

Kaz was really helpful and also gave us some hiking advice which we really appreciated. Thanks very much!

Friendly service bike rental reasonably priced.$100 for day rental of e bike. Only downside was the comfort of the bike. I’ve known rocks to be softer than the saddle and the suspension was bouncier than a child’s bouncy ball. Apart from that it was a great day out. Thanks

Easy process for renting a bike. Enjoyed my well functioning Specialized Rockhopper and they even switched out the pedals for me and put on the clipless ones I'd brought with me.

Best outdoor store I've come across the entire time we've been down south, it's got everything and anything you might need while tramping.

Hired 2 ebikes for the ride from Te Anau to Manapouri. The service when picking up wasn't very enthusiastic and when mentioned that seats weren't very comfortable there was no offer of a more padded seat. Only one type of mountain bike. Should have some more options for those people who want a more comfortable ride. I hard power on the lowest power most of the way with the odd time to put up a level but unfortunately 5kms out from Te Anau on the way back power was at 2 bars then none. Should definitely last for longer than that and if not get better quality bikes. Overall bike ride was beautiful but wouldn't hire from here again.

I bought some sports leggings here. I was advised by the team and did try them on before purchasing, they were not cheap and from a reputable sports brand, so I was expecting good performance. Unfortunately when I tried them on at home, having taken the label off (knowing they fitted me comfortably having tried them on two hours previously) I noticed the seams were damaged- clearly new clothes should not be sold in this condition or be so easily damaged on a second try. I’m not sure if they were damaged when I bought them or not - but clearly a faulty product. When I returned for a refund the team’s approach changed dramatically and were very unfriendly. I understand that refunds are not the normal process at this outlet, but surely this should not apply to faulty goods. Also the no refund rule was not explicitly mentioned upon purchase- which I would normally expect. I was made to feel embarrassed and unwelcome. Very poor service. The team complained that I had removed the label- I’m not sure why, as they should not be re selling goods they know are faulty.Be wary, good service should apply in all circumstances, very disappointing experience.

Hired a mountain bike from them ($40 for a 4 hours) as Wild rides was closed. Be prepared it is quite uncomfortable as there is no suspension on these bikes and the Lakes2Lake trail is made of gravel. You don't realise just how bumpy it is until you get off. Not sure if they have any other options a part from the e-bikes.

Urgent mission for a compulsory base layer T last Saturday!!! The young salesman (British I think) was awesome. Really helpful checking all the racks for options. Left with an Icebreaker running shirt that performed fantastically on the day. This young man is an absolute asset. Thanks so much.
