We always visit Abbey Estate for wine tasting when we’re in Hawke’s Bay. They make a great passion rosé and medium-dry Riesling along with a selection of craft beers. The winery and brewery is set in a beautiful setting with stunning architecture and grounds. Well worth visiting in summer.

Went there just before closing but they said that was ok, they didn't explain any of the wine/didn't seem to know about it. Pretty bad service and we didn't feel welcome at all. Annoying because we bought $100 worth of wine- it was delicious.

Great experience, enjoyed the live concerts, platters, pizzas and very generous wine testings. Worth staying there for at least a couple of hours!

Ever wanted what it feels like to feel Hangry? Come here. Took 2 hours for our pizza, fries and sandwich to come out.Lady beside us wanted to see how long it would take for her food after waiting 2 hours also. They replied another 40minutes". Come on guys this is not on!I appreciate that it is busy summer period and hard to find vaccinated staff. But you can do things to mitigate this. No other winery we visited had this issue.You need to take the kitchen out of the name of this place. Because air fried chips

Great day tasting beer and wine, listening to jazz on the lawn with our own picnic.All the beer and wine was delicious and we were able to supply our own picnic for the day so tried everything on offer.Service was a little slow at times, and they were busy from midday but we had good banter with the staff.
