Bikes and Beyond Devonport
Chris made every thing easy, as we were alighting from a cruise ship—flexible in everything. Brand new bikes, which were easy and a pleasure to ride.If coming to Auckland and plan to ride the Devonport area, then this is the place. And BTW, he has some very interesting cycle configurations worth checking out even if not to ride.

Bikes and Beyond Devonport
I visited a few of the Bikes and Beyond stores. They have an extensive selection of bikes of all shapes and sizes. I was impressed with the service level of the Devonport store. Great advice and friendly sales contact. Many quality brands and with many accessory options. Found my ideal bike! The service was as said great and a trial ride was offered. Service plans are available too. Great experience.

Bikes and Beyond Devonport
The manager of these stores is unreliable. We had four E-Bikes hired with a toddler seat specified in the booking and a confirmation over the phone. We booked weeks in advance and had to cancel once we had driven all the way to Devonport to pick them up.The day before an employee said they would be open at 10 (quite late for an all day hire). The store finally opened at 10:35 and the poor employee had to explain that his boss was mistaken and they only had three bikes available and no functional toddler seat. We had to cancel the booking which threw out all of our plans for the day which was very disruptive and extremely disappointing.We felt sorry for the young staff member who was actually quite helpful in their attempts to clean up the manager's mess.

I usually don't post negative reviews, but this is worth reiterating the many negative reviews about this shop chain and to warn people about the owner of this shop - Chris, is very rude, has appalling customer service and very unprofessional. He gets irritated with phone calls and deems all customer calls a nuisance (his voicemail proves this). I only called him twice in a 2-week time span and in both occasions told me off, saying i'm preventing him for doing his job!" He wants you to pay but he will refuse committing a date to complete the job. He has all the excuses up his sleeve. His staff are ok

I love the entire town of Devonport... we hired an electric buggy out at the ferry terminal and had a fantastic day touring this wonderful place.. An easy ferry ride from Auckland.. I cannot wait to return.. Thank you Bikes and Barbers hire..we had an amazing day and we will definitely be back!

Bikes and Beyond Devonport
Went down to Bikes and Barbers on the Devonport ferry wharf a few days ago looking for a saddle bag/pannier. Had excellent service from Kyle who had ordered the bag in promptly after my query a few days earlier. He also spotted that the rear brakes on my bike needed adjustment and quickly did this at no extra charge. All in all a pleasure to deal with and I will definitely be taking my bike there for its regular service in the future. Highly recommend checking them out if you need a new bike or accessories.

Bikes and Beyond Devonport
We actually used the Waiheke branch of Bikes and Beyond (the rebranded Bikes and Barbers) but now back on the mainland i can't seem to access the Google reviews for Waiheke, so I will leave one here. Very helpful and energetic staff. Keen to please. We initially took a couple of ebikes from the extensive range, but realised we needed to cover more ground than we could pedal, so we swapped them out for a fully electric sit-on scooter. It carried us both without issue and was in excellent condition. Only done 282km. Fantastic to be silent and fume-free, and all hills were dealt with easily. Highly recommended Waiheke transport, sweatless and fun!

Bikes and Beyond Devonport
Fantastic knowledgable staff. We came across o the ferry last Sunday and were greeted by a passionate owner who let my partner and I use different ebikes. Very reasonable prices compared to other outlets and a huge range of different bikes to choose. I highly reccomend this establishment for either purchase or hire of bikes.
