Z - Taupo - Service Station

The staff at Z are zen! Helpful and calm when we were frantic about not being able to fill the car using a 40c voucher...

4 stars as Z is my preferred station and we were a bit disappointed that this station does not do coffee as we always purchase our coffee at Z. Everything else is awesome

We often travel through Taupo throughout the year, my reason for one star review, is that we have grown tired of everytime we stop here at Z Taupo we have found the public toilets in such a disgusting state. The condition and lack of cleanliness was totally unacceptable. As soon as you enter the hallway from the petrol station, you can immediately smell a powerful stench of URINE. Not ONE, but ALL toilets were in an unacceptable, unhealthy level of uncleanliness.Toilet paper was all over the floor, some even used. We refused to use these toilets and travelled further into Taupo to find a hygenic toilet for me and my family to be able to use.However, to make it worse, I patiently lined up - to bring the state of Z's Petrol toilets to the Petrol Attendants/Staff's attention. They just smiled and said that the cleaner couldn't be here today. Another excuse was that they didn't have the key. Key for what? The toilets were dirty and disgusting. What has a key got to do with anything? They just laughed and acted as if the sign in the toilet did not exist. Which says, If toilet is not clean

If you are ever trying to come to a Z before they close, skip this one! I arrived 10mins before closing and the the bell end in the shop, shut the forecourt down(flicked off the lights and pumps)!Even the security guard that seem to be checking the pumps at the time, remarked the tosser does this regularly at close early to cash up.Even though you can pay at the pump, these seem to be disabled after hours.Is fully recommended just skipping Taupo all together if 9nly needing fill as found a gull north of here that ended up way cheaper!

Very disappointed. Can’t use my sharetank at the pump. It always said something went wrong. So I just walked in and asked for help. But the staff on duty didn’t explain it clearly and quite unfriendly. I ended up paying with my credit card. Although I had tons of petrol in my sharetank. Trying to communicate with that staff but basically all he had done was just telling me it’s my fault. Then he stopped the conversation, walked away directly and ignored my questions. SO RUDE! I’ll send an email to Z’s headquarter to make a formal complaint on this staff. I felt regret that I put so much money into the sharetank.

Being here afew times now and disappointing noone comes out to service fuel like they use to. I know covid has lots to do with it but if you can walk around yourself in contact with others whats the difference!
