Herries Park
Named after Sir William Herries, who was a member of New Zealand’s Parliament representing the Bay of Plenty Region and Tauranga from 1896 until his death in 1923, this park is landscaped with grass and various palm tress and as well as benches, has various features including Maori carvings at the northern end, the Herries Memorial Arch and Floral Steamer opposite the Harington St roundabout, and public toilets and the Kids Disco playground at the southern end adjacent to Hamilton St. It's a pleasant park along The Strand, in Tauranga.
