inland island apparently whatever that means, surrounded by a river with a fun and cool swingbridge that's good for one person's enjoyment, watch out for double bounces lol good camping spots on the island just a brief walk to the left or trappers trails to the right, watch out for cobwebs, seen aquatic and bird life, last time a good size pair of kereru, protected area. straight ahead from the road across the bridge to mataroa in the town next to an old converted church building

A pretty place for a picnic. Not really a walk or anything but the flora was interesting and the bridge is cool. Has a place to view weta and information boards regarding the flora are good. The car park feels like someone’s garden but a pleasant place

Super quick stop to walk over the swing bridge. Easy to walk down to and we both greatly enjoyed it.
