24 Hour Laundry

Did the job for me whilst I was on a camper van trip in NZ. Saved all my laundry til the end and got it all washed and dried within 2h on my last night in NZ. Think it cost me $8 or so to wash and dry. Open all hours, open window front; and for change, the shops nearby were happy to change notes for coins... if you ask nicely!

You get coins and tokens and they sell washing powder at sumit dairy, some washing machines are tokens $4 that are cold water only ,coin washing machines $4 are hot & cold water,some dryers are tokens 1 token for 5 minutes and coin dryer $1 for 5 minutes and $2 10 minutes,it is opened 24/7,

Simple and basic but extremely useful. I only use the dryers and they're well maintained. Plenty of parking, some indoor seating, coins and tokens accepted. Neighbouring shops open late.

Only 24 hour laundry I know of in Auckland.Combination of coin operated (2 ×$2 for wash / $1 and $2 for dry) or token operated.Wash tokens are available for dairy next door with a $1 minimum eftpos purchase.Need your own washing powder, dairy does mini bags for less than buying a whole box.

There are plenty of machines, both washers and dryers. Dryer number 3 runs give you extra time (15 minute cycle runs for about 25 minutes). Half the machines take one and two dollar coins, the rest take tokens that you can purchase from the dairy next door. The seating area consists of wooden bench in the front window. Not very comfortable if you're planning on waiting around for a load or two.

Place is a bit hit and miss, spent 45 mins drying washing only to find the heater on the dryer wasn't working. Staff gave my tokens back but still put me out an hour. You can buy dryer tokens from the diary next door who are always helpful and close relatively late

Three tokens to dry, great value. On wet days mornings are better should you want to dry, Midday onwards not so much. The place is always clean, never had a problem finding a car park

I made several trips to this laundry while we were in Auckland for the Master's Championships. The machines were always in working condition and I was always able to get a machine. The machines performed well. The 24 hours was nice as our schedule varied. The laundry is managed by the grocer next door who was always helpful. It is a very basic laundry with no sorting tables, no baskets, no laundry sink. There is no customer chairs though the front is open to the air with a comfortable seat height sill to sit on. There are several great cafes, a Countdown, a bakery, a butcher and a fish store within a block so you can take care of other things while you are doing laundry.

great value... but 2x broken washing machines. no washing powder for sale. half the washing machines have a broken temperature knob so dont know if you're doing a cold or hot wash, its a bit lucky dip. place is a mess last time a drunk dude wouldnt stop talking to me and his breath stank, hadnt brushed his teeth in days. noone on staff to help. If the laundromat up the road was open after work I'd gladly pay double for better service. If they improve stuff I'll be happy to update this review.

Terrible, dryer keeps tangling. We put in $4 worth of tokens which you have to buy from the dairy next door. Went back to the dairy for help and was told they only sell the tokens and have nothing to do with the laundromat. Rang the number on the sign and nobody answered. Rang the number from Google and nobody answered. Plus there's towels shoved against the bottom of the washing machines to collect whatever water is leaking. 0/10 experience. Avoid at all costs.
