Travelodge Hotel Wellington

Absolutely filthy room. I haven’t stayed anywhere in nz dirtier than this, camps and holiday parks included. The shower looked unclean & moldy, the bathroom trash hadn’t been cleared from another guest, the floor carpets were stained & dusty. There was an AC unit the didn’t work as well. When we told customer service about this, they only offered a 50% refund, after some pushing. Totally do not go here!

Good hotel to visit Wellington. Easy and fast access to the whole town and attractions. Really easy to good food places. Parking is easy but it is not free.

This hotel has seen better days and needs refurbishment. The primary appeal of this hotel is to bus group tours. During my check in I saw at least 3 charter groups come through and wait to use one of the 2 elevators for a 15 + 4 hotel. The wait was excruciating. Please note that the hotel does not have air-conditioned rooms so if the temperature gets warm out you need to leave your windows open. It was 60 degrees when I was here so I closed the windows. Despite being on the 11th floor I felt like I was adjacent to all restaurants in the area as the noise was exceptionally loud. The windows are not soundproofed. The vinyl blackout shades have numerous holes in the allowing light to stream through.

Booked a twin room for my sister and myself while we stayed in Wellington to see a concert. Was so handy being right in Central Wellington, only minutes walk from everything. The pillows and beds were the most comfortable I've had in any hotel or motel I've been in.

Shuttle from airport cost$12pp, you can't miss it outside the airport. Takes about 10 mins. Reception is level 7, quick check in. We read previous reviews, some said....not so clean. Our room was big and clean, it's a little worn but not dirty. Cleaned each day. Decent shower and towels plus toiletries and hairdryer. Safe, iron and ironing board. Tea, coffee etc . Comfy beds, nice white linen. The position of this hotel couldn't be better, it's bang in the middle of a main street. Supermarket nearby (microwave in room). Only one money exchange place nearby and no laundry. The staff are friendly and helpful. Catch the number 2 bus SEATOUN (not the airport bus) Down steps on left, opposite side of the road. It's far cheaper ,you walk a few minutes when you get off.We would recommend this hotel.

Clean, professional. Easy to find , easy parking, Good size rooms with microwave, fridge & kettle. Great location just 2 streets back from the harbour so perfect to walk to all attractions. Surprisingly good food! It was a Rugby match night so all the harbour restaurants were full or closed, grudgingly we returned to travelodge for dinner not expecting much, only to be surprised with better quality food than what we had seen in the restaurants in town!

I stayed for 3 nights there were twice the key didn't work. It is the first hotel the key is not working after a day. No air conditioner even there is a good air ventilation through the window. I don't see how this is a 4 star hotel in the room as well. But great location, a lot of cafes, no traffic to highway.

Location, amenities and staff were great. Unfortunately cleanliness wasn't up to scratch. Had a very big break out with itchy spots the next day. Definitely riddled with bed bugs

Great hotel at a good price. Location is perfect, room is good size,clean & plenty of storage. Bed was very comfy, would definitely stay here again.
