Rangiora Eco Holiday Park

Our 2 week stay started off well, however we left the cabin for a day and a half about a week into our stay, and they assumed that we had abandoned it and went into it and chucked out everything that we had in there. When we came back to grab the stuff we left in there, check out and return the key the manager was extremely rude to us and implied we had left the cabin in a horrible state and that our stuff had likely been thrown out. So don't expect privacy if you stay here, if you leave for a night they will come into your room even if you still have a week left on your stay!!

The rules about towels are unbelievable the owner would only give two of us 5 towels for 3 days as the rules are you must hang them out to dry.Will never stay there again and want to warn you all about this lack of customer service and strange manager.

Wasn't expecting too much and boy I'm glad we didn't!Waited over an hour for check in, nobody answered the bell, emergency phone or normal phone despite a collective 20 attempts. After half an hour we resorted to wandering around the park asking random people and calling his name. Eventually, on the third walkabout Jeff turned up quite drunk, he'd been drinking with some other guests and left his cellphone at the office. Not very professional.Feel this location is more of a place for long term stays/residents.Stayed in a unit which was a bit tatty but overall ok and warm and all we needed.

We are a family that travels a lot and we live supporting accomodation businesses but this holiday park is the only backpackers place that does not offer bedding as part of the booking fee. We had to pay $10 extra for blankets and sheets.

Not really sure I can comment because I didn't stay here... however , I just have a suggestion to make really. I personally think there should be tighter regulations on who is allowed into this park. Eg either people who aren't family or close friends of the people stating here shouldn't be allowed in. Or, closer vetting on who actually visits. I had a somewhat awful experience meeting a guy on the bus, who encouraged me to come visit him at this place. Permitted, I should of realized it was a bad idea, but I have a condition which makes it hard to realize these things and also read people. I noticed a few weird things, one the person who stayed here wasn't just confusing me with his words he was confusing another person who stayed here. As I remember this person was staying near him and said similar things to me in that, they were obviously confused as to why he would evade responsibility for what he had said... previously, I wrote an email about this, though there's little to be done and no accountability on anyone's part. When asked one of the receptionists about whether my email had been recieved all I got back was an excuse. We recieve many emails a day. Which one was it?!" To which I didn't want to reiterate it considering it went into greater details on psychological effects this person had caused me. I just personally think

We booked here for a one night stopover and it was just right. We found the late checkin easy. Thank you Rangiora Eco Holiday Park!The facilities (kitchen and bathrooms) are a bit tired and could do with a refresh but still serviceable and good to use.

Interesting place on outskirts of Rangiora. Bit dated but unit was clean, tidy and well priced for a stopover. Short walk if you're adventurous thru the racecourse and horse paddocks to the Five Stags pub for good food and good selection of beers.

cheap accommodation. I couldn't get heating to work, air conditioning showing error code. Mouse trap complaints button at reception inspired me not to mention it needs maintenance.

What a fine facility , Jeff's a top man, and the A frame I stayed in was brand new. The residents are very chatty and location is perfect. Champagne on beer money.

Simple campsite with all you need. Love how it's tucked away from the road. Had a A frame cabin. It was perfect what I needed.Quite peaceful area. Bathroom, and kitchen are clean and tidy.
