Westpac 318 Lambton Quay

Tereible customer service and understaffed!I've been trying for over a week via all contact methods possible to get an appointment to restructure my homeloan something they wont do over the phone or email yet compleatley unable to book an appointmetn because the branch never answers their phone or emails! The lines in branch are so long its ridiculius and having to line up for an hour just to book an appointment is insane!

Not sure why these branches exist anymore. Every time you go in store and wait long queues they just tell you they can't do it in store and do it online or call (which from experience is very slow and risky as they have directed me to wrong extensions multiple times).They only open 6 hours a day on weekdays as well so just save your time and do it online. Only issue is when you need to go in for a more urgent issue. Good luck if they can actually help you.

Excellent service. Great work Eric. I was on the queue to update my personal details, this gentleman took care of me and sorted my request in an efficient manner. I been to other banks most of the time they don’t listen to the customer instead they procrastinate the issue or will say try to do it from your side.

Westpac website says there’s a branch at 140 Lambton Quay but it has closed down. This used to be a great bank but now it’s just so bad. The branches are closed more than they’re open, the queues are long and takes Westpac two weeks just to issue a debit card. Why on earth would they bother to update the list of branches on their website.

Office building, third floor is common area and shared meeting rooms. To access Gilmore terrace, get out from 5th floor car park.

Went in to ask a banking question. Was dismissed by the teller who didn't even bother to check his answer to me and then whilst I was sitting in the branch afterwards I heard him talking to another customer about my query.

told to use the deposit machine and 'stop wasting my time waiting in the queue'. I prefer tellers personally...not so sure now. Might swap to BNZ as they're way friendlier there.

Very poor customer service! I have worked with different banks including ANZ, ASB, BNZ and KiwiBank and they were good (with KiwiBank being the best in terms of respecting customers). However, I found Westpac the worst! Everything seems to be based on distrust! I’ve got credit cards from other major banks and the process with them was quite smooth with me providing some standard documents like bank statements and payslips and them issuing it without any problem in a few days. On the other hand, Westpac was awful in all aspects. The banker made different excuses and didn’t do anything for one month. At the end, I decided to pass as I realised their banking system is quite poor and inefficient! Now I understand why their rating here is only 2 star out of 5!!! All in all, I would not recommend anyone to work with Westpac as they are quite unprofessional!

Just moved across to Westpac and was very impressed with the customer service at this store. Definitely happy we made the move!
