The food and service were amazing. Great value for money! We loved every dish we ordered but our pick was definitely the dessert! Make sure you order dessert if you visit.

Great little restaurant. We have been twice in the last month. Love the character of the restaurant, it is old building with mismatched floor but it adds to the atmosphere. The food is amazing, tasty comfort food. Service is awesome. This will become our regular Italian restaurant.

My partner made a booking 2 weeks ago for a Valentine’s Day out. We have been here before 5 times for the past 3 years. We have previously had such an amazing time with amazing food but after tonight I do not think I could ever face the idea of coming back. When we arrive we received glares from the till once we were seated. 3 girls stood there starting at us whispering. We were seated right by the toilet and door to the kitchen (not sure how we got poor seating since the booking was made far in advance). From that point on we knew we wanted to leave. The lack of service to our table was crippling. They took our drinks order once and never returned to take another drinks order. We waited 50 minutes for our mains to arrive to which the restaurant was far from full intact closer to half of the tables were empty. The loud and foul language from the kitchen took me away but that was partly because we were near the door…. We had two mouthfuls of our food and then got take away boxes to eat at home. My partner has apologised for tonight. This service has effected what could be the most lovely’est night of the year. Very very sad, it made me so upset I wanted to cry

Went back ( Sunday evening) after an awesome experience a few years ago. Booked several weeks ago in fact. Muted atmosphere, food was fine, pleasant staff. No option for a glass of wine with dinner (not the end of the world but....) as renewed liquor license hadn't yet been received.

Food & everything - 1 Star only.If you want Italian food, head to Sugo!An hour wait time to be given our entrees - To begin we had raw thawed out scallops for the entree. For our mains I had the pasta (beef ragu) was MINCE ragu - my partner had the fettuccine which was watery & not tasty.We were given our meals with no cutlery, waited 5 minutes until we were provided knives and forks after asking two staff members.I’m really disappointed in this place - we’ve come here once before and it was the best Italian place hands down in Tauranga so we were very excited to come back. I am not sure if this place has changed owners recently but not worth $140 for two people….
