2 Time in a row i have had a very bad experience with the hornby store. first my sons birthday, they gave me a wrong cake which we only came to know when it was cut and secondly just a week ago, for my husbands birthday cake, the cake was not in the order list hence wasn't made and upon collection at 4pm, telling us they will bake and get a cake ready for us...ridiculous, i would give zero stars but there is no option as such

Bought a cake(black forest) yesterday for a birthday turned to be the worst cake we ever tasted and bought from them. Seems like the cake was a week old was really dry and a thin layer of cream was on top only to cover the colour of the cake as it wasn't anything near a black forest. Ya can get more taste cake from a supermarket.

I specifically ordered a cookies and cream birthday cake for my son’s 5th birthday and it was such a disappointment! Very dry and poor quality filling! The icing wasn’t done properly either, and worse of all...it wasn’t even chocolate!!! Very disappointed!!! NEVER EVER GO TO THIS HORNBY SHOP.

I will never spend money here ever again. The way I saw the owner treat her staff was abhorrent. The poor girl who works there gave excellent service nonetheless. People like that should never ever be in charge of staff. And on top of that the cake I brought was dry, old and tasteless.

I ordered a custom cake for my son's 3rd birthday. The quote was 10 dollars less than what divine did. I had all cakes done by Divine and they had been amazing in taste and the perfection. I don't know what got into me that I decided to go with them in first place. Probably all those flashy pictures on Instagram. Little did I know that all that glitters is not gold.I did share an image and all the details. When went to pick up the order, found that name on cake was misspelled which was fixed then. It was extremely pale compared to what colors were there in the pic. Considering it was for 3 Yr old, the colors were too light to draw any attention.Worst was yet to come when the cake was cut and found that inside it was nothing but a vanilla sponge with sugar coca coated butter not even actual chocolate. The cake delivered could have been done under $50 compared to 4 times what was charged.It was nothing but a recipe for disaster. I'm not going back to cheesecake shop ever.

Hi so I picked a cake up from you guys at 10am today, I was early an you were still preparing it but when I got home I see it's melted an ruined, the lollies have fallen off the gnash has drooped off an it looks terrible now. I had all my windows down so it was fairly cold in the car an I only live down the road. I'm pretty Un impressed. Yes when I was showen the cake I obviously was showenr the good side an it wasn't till I got home that I seen the back and other side of the cake. This is the product which is for a birthday tomorrow. I can supply more photos if needed as iv taken a heap of them . But I am so disappointed in this dripcake

Yesterday I bought a carrot cake for a birthday. Everyone that tried this cake all thought the same. A carrot cake it was not. It was like a sponge base with a few added components and I have to wonder how fresh it was. Even the icing did not appear to be the normal. Extremely disappointed especially for the price of the cake.
