Don’t bother taking anything into the shop unless you have a massive trailer load.I took an item to them and got 20kg off and I only had two small containers, a play mat and some plastic. They told me all of that came to 40kg and I still had to pay the 20kg after the discount. All of my items only came to 7kg and that’s being generous.

The service is ok but this is your classic monopoly and very expensive. $90 to dump a bed and a few pallets wow. Its a huge moneymaker for the council with the income from the waste like aluminium and steel on sold. They dont have to charge so much but they still fleece ratepayers. No wonder they dont allow any competition

Does exactly what the name suggests. Easy and convenient drop off. Staff at the weigh bridge are very friendly. Easy to follow directions for where to offload the waste. They accept credit cards too.

Good recycling materials if your looking at things for a project, tonnes of items for less than nothing. Was after some paint and we got 2litres for $10. Lots of other things. Well set out and staff are helpful and friendly. Online its says they close 6pm, its actually 4.30pm but best to give them a call on (09)8365048 as the number on the website goes straight to Auckland council.

We have been going to the recycling centre for over 4 years now. This used to be one place we used to love visiting, but the new management has made sure that everything is priced at ridiculous prices, sometimes even more than what a new product would cost. When pointed out, the staff were extremely rude and unfriendly. Not the kind of behaviour you would expect. Very bad and unaccepted behaviour.

Don’t be intimidated if there’s a line, it goes quickly, and then you’ve got a front row seat to ground zero of waste. The team are super friendly and help you figure out where to go. The emphasis on making landfill the last resort really makes sense when you see the volume of waste coming through. Make sure you hit up the Tipping Point charity shop too. You won’t leave empty-handed.
