Of all the burgers that my wife and I ate during our 2 week trip in New Zealand, the brisket burger at Tomo was my wife's absolute favorite. I can confirm that it was delicious, great environment, very family friendly. If we had been in Waitomo another day there is no doubt in my mind that we would have found ourselves enjoying another excellent meal here!

We visited during Easter. We had a long wait as it was a holiday. The food was delicious, and we plan to visit again to avoid the holiday rush.

We had the stone grills, seafood chowder and tap beers. Very generous portion and the meat cuts were very tender. Best seafood chowder we had in NZ throughout our trip there.

Just stopped in for a ‘snack’ after the tour at waitomo, oh man. The food and drinks were great, but what was better was the service. I don’t think I’ve ever met a traditional barkeep before, the kind who genuinely cares about their patrons. Old mate went from table to table checking in with his patrons, making sure they had everything they needed and were enjoying themselves. It was genuinely a wonderful experience.

Amazing food, even better drinks. Only a short walk from the Top 10, and really nicely decorated. Highly recommend checking it out. 11/10

Food was good and staff was pleasant!The atmosphere were homey and welcoming but definitely has a sports bar vibe. It was a really nice experience!OH AND THEY HAVE STONEGRILL!
