Mainfreight Transport - Rotorua

Worse delivery ever. Ordered furniture from Auckland and the drawers arrived completely smashed off their hinges. The two delivery guys dragged the furniture across our concrete floors causing damage to the floors as well as further damaging the bottom of the units. Furniture was all replaced through the company we bought it off. Mainfreight won’t repair my floor as the delivery guys lied and said the floor was already damaged. My advice is never use them if you can help it. They can’t be trusted if they can’t own up to their own mistakes.

Because I live rural I get deliveries sent to Mainfreight. Great service. Thanks

Absolutely rubbish service driver had attitude I told driver that we were under covid lock down in our motel but he became shifty and nasty not normally how mainfr8 does things

When I first checked if I could book online, Rotorua came up as a depot that I could drop my item of to. When I was ready to book two days later, Rotorua didn't come up as a place to drop items at.I wasn't going to be home and it wasn't possible to pick the item up from my work.I called them and they said that they would allow me to drop off items. When I got there they said they would only do depot to depot items for cash sales and that the company in Auckland work have to drive from Rosedale to Panmure. (The person that I was dealing with couldn't explain why, just that it was their policy).Also, they wouldn't insure cash sales. Very disappointing because the website would have allowed me to do it from my home to the company with insurance.Luckily the company that I was sending to allowed me to send it with their account and I could pay them back. I don't know what I will be charged and hope it isn't above the price I would have got if I did it online.So if I could have booked online, prepaid the freight and drop my item off it would have been great, but this didn't work out. I was lucky to be able to send my freight. It also took 50 minutes of my time to go there, sort out sending the item and getting back to work.

Good loading crew at the rotorua yard took a little while to get loaded in the afternoon but when I returned in theThey were very fast and efficient. Job well done guys

I require vehicle batteries to be delivered for my business. On many occasion they arrive a day late than they should. On quite a few occasions we have had to drive to the depot to pick them up as they haven't been loaded on the local delivery truck. Today was another one of these days. expecting a battery the day before. traced the battery, to which they couldn't find. only to have a Mark from Farm Source Reporoa ring up and tell me it has been delivered to them.. Contacted Mainfreight and asked if we could have the battery by tomorrow. Answer was no, we don't have deliveries Saturday. The nearest we can pick it up from Reporoa and deliver back to you is by Tuesday, Taking into account there is no food on board the truck as batteries are not allowed to travel with food, (understandable). The customer service rep did say we can have it by you the following Friday as the truck doesn't carry food on Fridays. So ten days later I can definitely have my battery for my customer, hmmm. Forget it. Solution travel to Reporoa myself and pick up battery. No effort on Mainfreights side considering their mistake but are they are happy to inconvenience myself and my family time as well as my customer. If there was another freight company that carries batteries I would use them. Mainfreight customer service is the worst. Avoid this company!

Driver delivered the large item on a pallet on a trolley. He stood there and watched while my sick girlfriend had to move a full chest of draws out of the way with a trolley in the garage. There were no pleasantries or assistance. I thought that was quite poor.
