Torbay Sailing Club

Great venue for hire. Right on the beach perfect for large groups

Only visited the park across the road.Torbay Sailing Club however, is legendary.

Beautiful spot for events. My girlfriend held her 40th Birthday party here, which had a wonderful indoor/outdoor flow. With the kitchen/bar positioned perfectly in between the connect both spaces. A deck that has a direct view of the beach.

The beach is just wonderful and the shade trees on a hot sunny day just what one needs with gentle breezes coming up from the sea

Went here for a wedding reception. Space is really nice. Apparently renovations have not long been completed. Access from the beach to the sailing club via a walkway that goes underneath the road. :) View of beach from the decking is fabulous. Room we were in was spacious. Would recommend if you were wanting somewhere to hold a reception or gathering for large amount of people.

Very tidy and modern venue - could maybe do with a bit of color on the walls. Nice views of an evening out to Waiake beach

Dealing with this club was a circus from beginning to the end for us. Started off ok but then they simply stopped communicating. We booked premises for a 21st and as you would expect, had a few questions. We emailed, phoned, texted and really struggled to get a response. We were panicking as the event was creeping up fast and in the end, after pleading for a response, we heard back from someone. They then advised we could not access the facility earlier than our event start time to set up after allowing us to previously. For us, this was the straw that broke the camels back. We had no choice but to pull the pin and cancel as they were simply to unreliable and unreasonable. Only after we did this, did another member of the club contact us to make himself available to even view the premises. By that time, it was too late. Up until now, they refused to return our payment to them, even though they were at fault. We are looking at our options to deal with this. I am sorry to say, we are unable to recommend this venue at all and strongly suggest those looking for a venue look elsewhere or at least have a back up plan in place.

This is one of the most organized Sailing Clubs in the North Shore. It's very well run and they have fabulous facilities.There's a huge hall to hire out, be sure to give them a call for your needs. Thanks for letting us hold the PopUp Business School market day there guys.

Excellent party venue right across from Waiake Beach. Great layout and large deck facing the water.
