My favourite timber yard near Onehunga. Staff always friendly, helpful, and above all SOOOO patient with my DIY questions.

Any tradie/ home handy person that has been here will no doubt have had great service from experienced staff. Easy to deal with, good product range and quantity. Thanks Carters

Never use Carters because they support a nasty cheat - Greg Hafoka (Milton Harward Construction Ltd) who for almost the last 12 months has been illegally running his building business from his house (37 Paihia Road) thereby cheating other builders out of work - how can they compete with him doing this illegally from home?!Carters sell timber and use their Hiab truck and trailer unit to deliver it to Hafoka’s house (which they must know is completely wrong) and he is illegally using up to 5 employees everyday to cut up and process massive amounts of timber for jobs in other areas of Auckland (making lots of horrible loud noises and upsetting all of the neighbours). Hafoka is too stingy and greedy to pay some rent in an industrial area like every other builder doing this type of work!To be fair though I haven't seen their truck for several months now because Hafoka is currently using Tom Ryan Cartage Ltd (please never use them either!). Carters is a great store. Good, helpful staff. No problem to hard to solve. Good prices as well.

Informed staff, excellent yard crew, good products... always worth the trip

Easy to drive in and throw a couple of sheets of Gib board ontp the roof rack pay for it and drive out. Friendly helpful staff.
