Lochend Woolshed

I went here for the first time for my nieces wedding what a great venue and beautiful back drop with the lagoon in the background would definitely recommend.

Absolutely lovely spot tucked away in a nice and quiet part of Dunedin. Not far from South Dunedin at all. Perfect for a private intimate function. There is no phone service/reception out there but I think that it adds to guests being more engaged.It's a wee bit of bumpy road in, some parts are gravelled and some parts aren't, so raking a bus to Tomahawk then walking in might not be the best way to get there. Will need private transport.A large area to park at the top and a small walkway back down. Not ideal for elderly to walk down to venue from carpark as it is a bit steep and at night it is a bit dark (small lights at night but not very bright to guide well).

We had our wedding at Lochend on Saturday, and I truly cannot highly enough of the venue and it's wonderful owners! Julz and Mark were incredible to deal with, kind, generous and super friendly right throughout the process. The venue itself is completely stunning, and our friends and family were in love with it at first sight. The rustic building and gorgeous views over the lagoon are completely breathtaking. Highly recommend to anyone in search of a unique and beautiful venue!

Beautiful place for wedding

Julz was the most amazing host and the woolshed is a fantastic wedding venue. We celebrated our marriage in Autumn where the weather was crisp but woolshed warm. Colours and surroundings are a unique part of Dunedin few get to experience and it was such a special place to share with our family and friends. Thanks to Julz and everyone who made the magic happen!

I had my wedding here in November, it was more than I could have asked for. The venue is stunning - the woodshed and the views!! The owners Mark and Julz were awesome to work with and went over and beyond to make everything perfect. 10/10 would recommend this venue.
