Chapmans Restaurant & Bar
We went there for Mother’s Day lunch and didn’t have the highest hopes considering the recent reviews however we were all very pleased with our food. Delicious fresh lamb roasts brought out as soon as they’d been eaten. Few bits of seafood. Good desert selection. Very happy.

This was your standard generic nz Buffett at twice the price. We only went because we were staying in the hotel which is relatively high standard, but this buffet does not live up to the quality of the rest of the property. The food wasn't terrible or disgusting, just far below what you'd expect given the prices.

Wish I could give zero star! Foods are absolutely disgusting! Less food selection and way toooooooo OVERPRICED!!! Zero star for the service and zero star for the foods! Next time I would spend $119 at KFC or Mcdonalds but not at this restaurant.This is the worst restaurant I have ever been. DO NOT COME here.

One of the best buffet Restaurants we have been to in NZ and very friendly service. We had a group of 18 and it catered for everyones needs and all age groups. Highly recommended and this will be our spot when we visit Rotorua.

Overpriced meal for sub standard offer. Can see why Skyline is booked out solid and this place was empty. Seafood buffet was very limited in options, no butter available for bread rolls, zero table service for drinks, and the entire floor was sticky and hadn’t been washed in days. This place might have been great once but it’s not at the moment.

Was ok food. Inconsistent across the whole buffet. The bar tender made great drinks and had great service skills but was serving the restaurant & bar area by herself so took a while. For $60 I did expect a lot better but felt like I could have cooked a better Birthday meal myself for my neice. Saw Creme brulee and was excited but had no flavor. Nice consistancy though.The steamed veges with cheese Sauce & Choc mousse was my fave dishes for the night. Left feeling disappointed really. Wanted to talk to the manager but no one was interested in a conversation so I just left.

Chapman restaurant is the worst ever buffet i have had in New Zealand. The seafood is not fresh the meat and pasta was disgusting. For the price paying for this kind of buffet is definitely rubbish. To be honest for this price any other restaurants in NZ including fast food restaurant is better. I wanted to give ZERO star but no option. Service rating give it a ZERO. I highly NOT RECOMMEND to other travellers or domestic customers.

This buffet restaurant is the worst i had been to. Way overpriced for rubbish food. There are not enough choices to choose from and the food is either cold or warm nothing is hot. Service is bad no communication and i cant see anything that is worth coming back. Waste my money and my time. Even if they offer me free meal i would not take it.

We have dined at Chapman's buffet for many years. It no longer has the reputation as one of the best buffet in New Zealand. The quality selection and presentation is a huge disappointment. For the price charged it is sadly lacking. Would not and could not recommend for the evening buffet. The breakfast is far superior. It will need to improve dramatically before we would dine there in the future.
