Always prompt beautifully groomed…..I’ve used Maugers many times 5/5 always

Car rentals for big cars. If you have a big family or group with you coming to New Zealand, this is the place you want to rent for. People are nice here. They really try to accommodate with what you need. Some downsides are, they don't have smaller cars and usually when you have one car booked there is hardly flexibility in going up and down on sizes since they don't really have the numbers yet. Hopefully they do in the near future. Another thing is, they will pick you up from the airport. But, we were flying from queenstown, and they didn't have a shuttle going from their place to the airport. So be ready to do some walking! Overall, pretty nice experience.

8 seater Mercedes was a great way to see the south island , very economical with plenty of room ( 5 adults all with luggage) Hired the headset as well , awesome for letting the ones seated in the economy seats" know of up coming attractions and offers of "comfort" stops . Only draw back was only 1 USB charging port in entire vehicle"

We hired a 7-8 seater for 5 people with bags and travelled in comfort. Can’t imagine being squeezed into a vehicle smaller when doing a road trip. Highly recommended!

Was so pleased and thankful Cross Country Rentals picked up this booking after we'd been notified that Maugers Rentals Christchurch had gone into receivership. Fantastic service, especially as we were a large group with. Great communication and nothing was a problem. Many thanks.

Be very careful when returning the vehicle, make sure they sign off your liability before leaving.I had returned before the agreed return timing and got them to bring me to the airport. When I ask the front office if that was all? they said, ”Yes”, and their staff drove me to the airport. When I arrived home, which was after a 10 hr flight, I received an email saying after they washed the vehicle they noticed there was damages and had charged the excess to my card. I highlight to them that was not right, as my liabilities should have ended when I handed them the vehicle and it is their due diligence to check, just as I took liability once I took the vehicle off their lot.Should have just stuck to the bigger companies like Hertz or AVIS

Cross Country Rentals/Maugers have been really great to deal with. I originally made a booking for June but postponed it because of lockdown, They had all the paperwork on file, honoured my deposit and made everything easy. Good communications, easy to find, everything to like!Thanks, team!
