74 year old Charlie is the Owner for last 14 years and also the head waiter here. Yes he is terribly rude like others have commented. When I complained to the chef (his wife?) they both came out and apologized and used his old age as reason. Funny old man !! Hint: Be really rude if you go there to eat...

The Thai chef lady welcomed our patronage. However, the food need some improvements as they lack the thai taste that I have been getting from other restaurants.The manager however was quite rude and chased customers who apparently chose to takeaway but were eating al fresco during my visit.

The best Thai food. Especially the ribs! Always consistently tasty and fresh! 10/10 in my eyes.If you can’t see the funny side of the manager’s humour then you’re taking yourself too seriously.

Highly recommended thai restaurant. Great location with friendly staff. Very beautiful set up bringing thai culture to New Zealand. Food was very well prepared n very nice presentation.

Affordable food for such touristic area.Me and husband was having dinner here from the first time.Fast service and nice place..Only minus is one of the food is too salty..Couldn't able to eat it..

Friendly welcoming and great service. Fast, good portion sizes, and a calm happy environment. Really nice place to eat out. Best thai green curry my partner and I have ever had! We came back the following evening we enjoyed the experience that much.

Came here a month ago and has left a lasting impression. And not a good one. This has to be the worst dining experience I’ve ever had and I’ve traveled the world and been to some sketch places. Food was terrible can’t describe how bad it was and the service was out of this world rude. Felt like a burden to have us there.If this place was in any other place with competition it would be long since shut. Would recommend finding a local lawn and eating the grass there before walking in here.

Took a family of 10 to this restaurant for lunch midday, soon after new year. 4 adults, 6 children. Met a rude old man at the counter who was on the sauce already behind the bar and wasn’t happy to see us, “I only have one cook he says, I don’t want children in here they make too much mess”, I reply with “we are happy to sit outside” - “I’m not moving tables for you they are how they are” he says. My response as you can imagine was not kind, so no doubt I gave him a piece of my mind and left. What a wan%#€ I would not suggest you use this restaurant in Russell.
