Dave and Joe saved the day with my daughter’s mtb downhill racing bike. Same day service, thorough and knowledgable about Scott bikes in particular. We’ll most definitely be back as not many in NZ know Scott bikes as well as these guys.

Ross, Joe and Ruben were all fantastic at answering my questions when I rented a bike from them. None of them were road cyclists but were happy to try and help me decide on where to go for a ride. They’re also the only shop in Queenstown with actual road bikes to hire so if you’re a roadie, this is where you should go.

Had a very positive experience with outside sports. Thanks to their staff member Jake who helped me get some awesome gear for ski season he was very helpful and friendly and knew his stuff on skiing!

Staff too busy trying on hats or drinking coffee to notice a customer in their store ( I was, in fact, the only customer). Also, neither had simple product knowledge on the brand or item I was interested in. With all the competitors in town will not venture into this unhelpful store again

Friendly staff. Good location.But few things make me realise I will never buy things from there again. First of all Refund Policy of the place and how pushy staff are about Become a member of Outside Sport". I couldn't pay unless I provide my email. Since then I got 9 emails with advertisement and deals.Save your time and energy and visit Small Planet next door."

I had such a good experience in the store, so much so I felt the need to review. The man that assisted me was knowledgeable and helpful, and took my needs into consideration rather than trying to sell me the most expensive thing. After years of hiking and going through various gear items I finally feel like I have my layers nailed! Will be back next time I'm in Queenstown.
